My Vision

Photography is an important tool to help grab public attention.  This is perhaps even more important in nature photography, as a photo allows people to get close to nature without leaving their homes.  This is why I offer photo and video services to land trusts and nature organizations, to help bring their supporters and the public closer to the natural wonders that your organizations tirelessly protect.  Many land trust missions include the preservation, education, and accessibility of these protected lands for public use.  The products I offer align with these goals exactly.  Offering visual preservation of these lands through digital media, showcasing the history of the lands, the species found within, and making these areas more accessible to more members who may not otherwise be able to hike through the preserves.  It is my goal to make nature accessible to all and to inspire others to protect and preserve the natural areas around the state and beyond.  Together, we can reach this goal.

Virtual Tour Videos

  • I work with your organization to create virtual hikes of the trails and the property you wish to feature. The actual format for these videos can be tailored to your specific needs, however, I typically include history of the property, highlights and details about the trail, and the species present (both flora and fauna) in the preserve. The videos can vary in length, depending on length of hike and size of the property. I strive to make these videos feel like the viewer is hiking right alongside me as I showcase the various aspects of the property.

High Quality Photographs

  • Everyone needs high quality digital content whether for websites or for social media. This package is designed to exceed your needs for photos that can be used for this purpose. I will head out and explore your properties to photograph the unique aspects and the species that can be found. These photos will provide an authentic feel of what can be found in your preserves, rather than relying on stock images and generic images that can be found online. This will truly bring your members closer to the lands they preserve.

Social Media Videos

  • Are you looking to grow your membership base and use social media to do it? This package is tailored for those needs. This package includes short videos ranging in length from 15-60 seconds showing highlights of the animals, plants, scenery, or trails of your properties. They are shot and edited so they will work perfectly with Instagram reels and YouTube shorts.

Your organization’s needs are unique and that is why you can pick and choose which elements you will want to include in your package.  Maybe you want all the elements to have the complete virtual experience for your members and organization, or maybe you only need photos and social media products for your organization.  I will work with you to create the perfect package for your organization. 

Virtual Tour Preview

Enjoy the first few minutes of a virtual hike video I put together for the Granby Land Trust’s Mary Edwards Mountain Property. This finished video was 20 minutes in length and later included the views from the preserve lookouts, scenes of babbling mountain brooks, and photos and videos of the variety of animals found within the preserve. Now imagine your preserve being featured in this manner!

Pricing

I tailor each project to meet the needs of your organization as well as the property being highlighted.  After all, each property is different and should be treated as such.  For this reason, there is no cookie cutter pricing for these projects.  Contact me to get pricing for your specific project.  We can discuss the packages you are interested in including the number of photos or videos you are interested in and specifics about the property.  I look forward to working with you on your project ideas and I can’t wait to share the amazing things that can be found on your properties!

The Process

  • We discuss the ideas of the project and the different products your organization would benefit from.

  • I will create a personalized estimate for the project based on your requirements and goals.

  • I will create a contract outlining the expectations of the project highlighting start and expected completion dates. An initial deposit will be collected to place your project on my calendar.

  • When the start dates of the project come, I will head out to the property and gather the footage to complete the products outlined in the contract. This could take multiple days depending on the requirements of the project.

  • I will professionally edit the products outlines in the contract. If a product included the virtual hike, this process will include writing and approval of the script for the video.

  • The time frame of product delivery following completion of gathering footage varies depending on number and types of products. For photos and social media products, I typically have the products delivered to you within two weeks via shared folder online for approval (Google Drive or Drobox). Following approval, I send the finalized files via flash drive for a hard copy.

    For the virtual hikes, I typically complete final editing with input from your organization within a month following gathering footage. Videos are shared via online shared folder for edits and approval (Google Drive or Drobox) and then a hard copy will be sent via flash drive.
