This is an active outdoor workshop in natural grassland habitat. Participants should be comfortable walking over uneven terrain, carrying their own equipment, standing for extended periods, and spending several hours outdoors in potentially cold, windy, wet, or snowy conditions.
Terrain may include tall grass, mud, wet vegetation, and other natural obstacles. If you have concerns about whether the physical demands are appropriate for you, please contact me before booking.
-
The birds set the schedule. We adapt.
The workshop will generally take place in a wide range of normal fall and winter conditions. Light rain, clouds, wind, cold temperatures, and changing conditions are all part of wildlife photography.
The workshop may be rescheduled when conditions become unsafe or when significant weather is expected to make the experience substantially unproductive.
The final decision to postpone or reschedule due to weather will be made by me based on forecast conditions, field conditions, travel safety, and expected wildlife activity.
Northern Harriers are wild animals. Sightings, behavior, activity levels, and specific photographic opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
Wildlife welfare and habitat protection always take priority over obtaining photographs.

$250 deposit: Non-refundable.
More than 21 days before the workshop: You may transfer your payment to another available date or cancel and receive a refund of payments made beyond the $250 deposit.
Within 21 days: The remaining balance is non-refundable. If I'm able to fill your date with another participant, I may refund the recovered amount, less the original deposit.
Weather/conditions: If I need to cancel or reschedule because of unsafe conditions, you may transfer your payment to another available date or receive a full refund.
If you need to cancel for any other reason, please contact me as soon as possible.

Wildlife photography takes place in a natural environment and involves inherent risks associated with uneven terrain, weather, cold temperatures, vegetation, insects, and other natural hazards.
Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear, camera equipment, personal necessities, and any medications they require.
By booking, participants acknowledge the outdoor nature of the workshop and agree to follow reasonable safety instructions and ethical wildlife photography practices.
